Main responsibilities

A very successful Technology PLC in the gaming industry are currently expanding due to ongoing demand and looking for a recently qualified Group Accountant to join them. The successful individual will join an experienced team of finance professionals based in the Group headquarters with a direct reporting line to the Group Financial Controller. Ideal candidate will have 2yrs+ post qualified experience working in a multi-national business. Previous experience with consolidations will also be very beneficial.

Main Responsibilities:

• Help oversee and set accounting policies, design and implement automation of accounting processes, improve procedures and internal controls, and establish and manage integration of newly acquired entities.
• Drive productivity, continuous process improvement, and transformation in the financial operations in order to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness and improved service to customers, vendors and employees.
• Manage outsourced international accountants and service providers for statutory accounting, payroll, tax and overall corporate compliance.
• Leading finance team member on ERP Implementation team working closely with the CFO, Group Financial Controller and Group Finance Manager to deliver the project in an effective, efficient and timely manner.
• Financial accounting for group companies (multi- national, multi- currency) involving;
• Preparation of month end journals
• Preparation of Monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet statements
• Preparation of monthly management packs, including variance analysis
• Intercompany invoicing
• Intercompany reconciliations (multi- national, multi-currency)
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Payroll reconciliations
• Cashflow forecasting
• Preparation of monthly foreign exchange rates and conversion of FX balance sheet items
• Statutory returns for US, Irish and UK companies (VAT / Vies / 46G / excise tax)

Person Specifications

Ideal candidate will have 2yrs+ post qualified experience working in a multi-national business. Previous experience with consolidations will also be very beneficial.
