Graduate Fund Accountant | Boutique Financial Services Provider

Main responsibilities

CFW are looking for a bright recent graduate for an excellent fund accountant opportunity with a bespoke and boutique style fund administration provider located in the heart of Dublin’s I.F.S.C.

Ideally, candidates will have gained some experience within the funds industry however this is not essential should they have gained an educational understanding of the fund accounting role. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities of a Fund Accountant:

• Accurate and timely production of the Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit which is used for investor deals and external publication
• Completion of daily cash position and manager reconciliations
• Analytical review of each day’s transactional and cash activity to investigate and query any trade exceptions/position breaks with the client/fund counterparty as required
• Ensure all prices are priced in line with procedures and fund valuation policies
• Verify that corporate actions have been processed accurately
• Liaise and assist with audit queries on annual financial accounts
• Co-ordinate with other departments on miscellaneous fund queries and reconciliations
• Interact with clients, ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times
• Dealing with new clients, new funds and fund restructures

Person Specifications

Skills and Requirements:

• Primary relevant Degree
• Previous experience/knowledge very beneficial but not essential
• Good organisational skills and a high attention to detail
• Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel and Office)
• Self motivated, innovative and analytical
