Fund Accountant - Excellent Permanent Opportunity

Main responsibilities

My client, a boutique and prestigious financial services provider, is currently recruiting for an experienced Fund Accountant to join their existing team, reporting to a Fund Accountant Supervisor. This opportunity has arisen due to ongoing success and new business. The ideal candidate will be innovative, determined and ambitious to be part of my client’s goal of further growing their existing first class fund administration business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely production of the Net Asset Value per unit that is used for Investor deals and external publication
• Complete daily cash, position and manager reconciliations
• Analytical review of each days transactional and cash activity to investigate and query any trade exceptions / position breaks with the client / fund counterparty as required.
• Ensuring all positions are priced in line with procedures and fund valuation policy
• Verifying that corporate actions have been processed accurately
• Liaise and assist with audit queries on annual financial accounts
• Co-ordinating with other departments on miscellaneous fund queries and reconciliations
• Interaction with clients, ensuring a high level of service is provided at all times
• Assist in training of new staff
• Participate in a review of overall job process with a view to further efficiencies
• Dealing with new clients, new funds and fund restructures
• Detailed monthly reviews of funds NAV pack

Person Specifications

Requirements:

• Primary Degree
• Knowledge of the Fund Administration function and the fund valuation process
• Good organisational skills and a high attention to detail
• Excellent PC skills (Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word)
• Knowledge of Advent Geneva very beneficial
• Self motivated, innovative and analytical
